Where is The Cedar Works located?
The Cedar Works is located at 4919 Pentridge Street in West Philadelphia, just south of Baltimore Avenue.
Directions:
By public transportation: Take the 34 trolley westbound and get off at 49th street. Walk south on 49th street. Take the first right onto Pentridge Street. The Cedar Works will be on the right.
By car: The 4900 block of Pentridge runs one-way, eastbound off of 50th Street. Parking is limited on Pentridge Street, so please look to park on 49th or 50th. The Cedar Works has two off-street parking spots.
How many people can be on a rental agreement?
Each rental agreement allows for two primary users. Additional primary users can be added for an additional cost of $50/month per person. For example, if four people are renting a 400 sq. foot studio, the monthly cost would be $500. ($400 sq. footage costs + 2 additional primary users at $50 each).
The reason that additional primary users results in increasing monthly rent is to compensate for the additional utility usage and building risk associated with an increased number of people having access to the building.
What is a primary user?
A primary user is someone who has a key and 24 hr. access to the building. As a primary user, you are welcome to host guests or customers in your space as long as you are present.
What is included with my studio space?
- All utilities (heat, electric), with the exception of high-use, specialized equipment
- An electronic key fob for 24 hr. access to the building
